Heat Treatment Technology For Circular Blades
Oct 16, 2023
Circular blades are usually produced by processing high-quality special steel, and are now widely used in various industries. It should be noted that heat treatment is one of the most critical factors in determining the quality of a circular blade, in addition to the selected steel material. To understand the luxury of using circular blades, it is necessary to first understand the heat treatment process of circular blades.
After the round blade is forged and rough machined by the lathe, it needs to undergo heat treatment. The commonly used heat treatment methods for circular blades are salt bath heat treatment and vacuum heat treatment. Regardless of which heat treatment method is used, it is necessary to choose different materials at different temperatures. For example, some materials can release the highest hardness when their organization reaches 800 degrees, while others can only release the highest hardness when they reach 1100 degrees.
When the selected circular blade material reaches the highest hardness during heat treatment, it needs to be tempered. No matter what material the blade is made of, it must reach at least 2-3 times of tempering before it can fully deliver the blade's performance. If the tempering frequency is reduced, it will cause uneven distribution of tissue in the blade, which will cause the blade to be difficult to use. After two or three tempering cycles, place the circular blade in room temperature air for cooling, and the heat treatment of the circular blade is completed.
Remember, whether it is a round blade or other blades, the hardness during use is obtained through tempering. Generally, the highest hardness is obtained by quenching and heating, and then the desired round blade hardness is obtained through tempering.
